FAQs
What is FEAST Writers Collective?
FEAST is a collective dedicated to telling women’s stories. Through workshops, staged readings, and full productions, we provide a space for writers to develop new work and bring powerful narratives to life. We champion creativity, collaboration, and inclusivity - ensuring women's voices are heard, supported, and celebrated.
How did FEAST start?
FEAST began as a one-off Scratch Night for International Women’s Day—an opportunity for local writers to showcase new works-in-progress centered on women’s stories. The overwhelming response from artists and audiences alike made it clear: this needed to be more than just a single event. From there, FEAST grew into a collective, offering regular writing workshops, staged readings, and full productions. What started as a celebration of women’s voices has become a thriving creative space where writers can develop and share their work in a supportive community. We continue to grow, ensuring that women’s stories are told, heard, and celebrated on stage.
Can I join FEAST?
FEAST is a collective dedicated to amplifying women’s stories, and we’re always excited to connect with writers who share this passion. While membership is by invitation, we host actor call-outs for our SCRATCH nights, providing a wonderful opportunity to engage with our community and get a feel for the collective. Current members invite new writers to join, so reach out to learn more and see how you can get involved!
